Ballast Cleaning
RM 95

The machine is an articulated system, connected together, and constructed with welded frames of heavy steel girders and plates. The design allows a direct, efficient ballast flow.

The excavator chain takes the material directly to the screening unit, which is a hydraulically driven shaker assembly with screens seperating waste and ballast.

For extremely difficult cutting conditions (cemented ballast, large rock, etc.) a unique hydraulically operated breaker reduces material to a manageable size for handling by the cutter chain. The machine is also equipped with a spot vacuum system to allow removal of ballast for chain assembly, working around fixed track components, signal wiring, hot box detectors, etc.

The machine is equipped with a liftig and lining device, two driver's positions, operator positions and an additional operator's position for screen adjustments. Knuckle couplers are installed on each end of each frame.
